BRING US YOUR HOSTAS!!!!!

We will be having a group helping us finish up the garden space by the drive and the memorial chapel bench this coming Tues. and we would like to put in as many hostas as we can! If you have any you can spare, please bring to the Adoption Center,  in a container with dirt (so roots don’t dry out) this weekend and place them outside by the volunteer entrance door by the hose. We will then gently plant them in the gardens. THANK YOU!!!!

Petathalon shifts available – goodie bag stuffing/ training date set

Sat. July 11th 

– 7-10am- Setup help still needed

– 10-1:30pm – Info/Registration tent need 2 volunteers

– 1:30-5pm – Raffle- 3 / Info – 2 / 50/50 -1

Sunday July 12th

– 8-10am – Raffle Booth – 2 / 50/50 -1

– 3-4pm- Tear down help – 4

If you can come for 1-2 hours and be a ‘runner’, where we will use you where there is a shortage, let me know the day and time you can help.

THANK YOU to all the volunteers who have offered part of their day either Sat. or Sun OR BOTH, to help us at this major fundraising event for Save-A-Pet. We will be having a goodie bag stuffing/ info meeting on July 9th at 6pm at the adoption center to go over duties for the day and to hand out t-shirts to the volunteers helping. More info will be sent to to the volunteers already signed up via email.

4th OF JULY PARADE- HAWTHORN WOODS- WALKERS NEEDED!

We have been invited back to the Hawthorn Woods 4th of July Parade. It winds through the neighborhood and is a lot of fun. Come walk, hand out Pentathlon info cards and candy. Click on the comment button below if you can help out!

The parade is on July 4th (Friday). Line-up for entrants is at 9:30am. The parade begins promptly at 10:00am and concludes at the Village Barn with a flag raising ceremony and introduction of special guests in attendance. We welcome floats, cars, and walkers. This event is well attended by the residents of Hawthorn Woods and their families and is a lot of fun for children.

The start is located off of Old McHenry Rd just past Quentin. I will have the exact street name this week to give to volunteers.

Petathalon volunteer help needed at these shifts!

We are getting closer! We hope everyone gets a chance to come out and support this great event on July 11th and 12th in downtown Libertyville. We will have tents located in Cook Park both days! With your support of a few hours, we can make this the best Pentathlon to date!

Remember, the dogs and cats are the ones who benefit from the money raised from this event!!

Available shifts – SAT.

Set up on Sat. morning – 7-10am- we will not be putting up the tents but we will be setting up the tables / raffle prizes/ info/ duck pull, etc after the tents are up

10am-1:30pm- Info booth help needed- guests can register for the walk at this booth and we will have SAP info available.

1:30-5pm – Need volunteers at the raffle tent (3) / Info tent (2) / Runners (2)

Available shifts – Sunday

6-10am – Setup and registration (3) / Raffle tent (3) / 50/50 (1)

10am-1pm- Raffle tent (1) / Info (1) /Runner (2)

1-4pm – runners (2)

Petathalon volunteer support – UPDATED LISTINGS

The Pentathlon available volunteer shifts listings have been updated. Please see below for updated shift availability.

The 50/50 and raffle booth shift on Sunday from 1-4pm, will be shorter due to the raffle ticket drawing and 50/50 being drawn around 2pm, but volunteers will help tag the winners name to their raffle prize if they are not present and help load them for transit back to SAP.
